The Mysterious Relationship Between the Tarot and 9/11

By January 12, 2017

Tarot and 9/11
It was 10 pm on the evening of September 10, 2001. I was thinking about watching television. My Spirit Guides had other ideas.

“Get your Tarot deck.”

I didn’t feel like it. “I’m too tired. I don’t want to.”

“Do it.”

I got my deck.

I sat down at my desk. I shuffled the cards. I cut them. I drew one.

The Tower.

I stared at the lightning bolt striking it and the people falling off the Tower.

“Something horrific beyond your imagining is about to transpire. It has its roots in the Middle East. The wheels are in motion, and cannot be turned back.”

My Spirit Guides delivered their message, then went silent.

I was mystified. Everyday things happen in the Middle East that are horrific beyond my imagining.

Women dying in childbirth at checkpoints, barred from passing through to the hospital on the other side by the soldiers of an occupying power. Little kids killed by so-called humane rubber bullets. Entire families wiped out by bombing attacks on a defenseless civilian population.

I began studying Arab-Islamic culture and the history of the Middle East and North Africa when I was in college. I’ve traveled in Algeria and Tunisia. I make hummus and couscous. I listen to Um Kalthoum and Fairuz. I read the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish.

I had no idea what my Spirit Guides were talking about.

I got up the next morning and turned on the TV to watch the news.

The picture came on. It was of a plane hitting one of the Twin Towers. Live.

I didn’t get it. It was only when the reports of people jumping to their deaths came through that I understood what I was looking at.

I was seeing the Tower being struck by a lightning bolt. I was watching people falling to their deaths. Something horrific beyond my imaging was happening. It couldn’t be turned back.

Years later I was talking with Christina, who is a pilot with an international airline. Her sister is a Tarotista, and gave Christina a card reading the evening of September 10, 2001.

“You won’t be flying tomorrow.”

Christina disagreed. “Yes, I will. I’m scheduled.”

Her sister looked at the cards again. She was adamant. “No, you won’t be flying. No one will. I don’t know why. But the world is going to change forever.”

I’m a trance-channel with all the psychic abilities. My Spirit Guides can and do speak directly to me and through me, without the agency of the cards. September 10, 2001 was the first and only time they asked – no, ordered – me to get my Tarot deck to facilitate our personal and private communication.

The card I drew on the evening of September 10, the Tower, was the most apt, concise, and accurate description of pending events possible. How did the Universe order my deck that the Tower was the first and only card I chose? I don’t know.

On September 11, 2001 the world did change forever. Why did the Universe give some of us a forewarning? Why was the message delivered through the Tarot? Again, I don’t know.

I am perplexed by the relationship between the Tarot and 9/11. Did you receive messages from the Tarot about the events of 9/11 before, during or after 9/11? What were they? How do you make sense of them? Why do you think the information came through the Tarot, and not another divinatory medium?

I look forward to reading your responses to these questions in the comments below.
