Are you just starting out as a Tarot reader and wondering how to build your client base? It’s not as simple as hanging a shingle. Getting Tarot clients is hard work!

If you’re wondering how to attract your ideal clientele, read on. These are my top 5 strategies for bringing business through the door. Are you ready to attract your first 5 (…10…or 20…) Tarot clients? Let’s do this!

1. Know Your Dream Client

Start here.

If you simply want to help anyone who wants a Tarot reading, think again.

You’ll be just like every other Tarot reader on Etsy or on Fiverr offering Tarot readings for $5.

And, instead of being able to reach out to the people you can serve best, you’ll be waiting and waiting until someone finds you because there’s no way of figuring out how to find “anyone who wants a Tarot reading”.

But if you know your dream clients are women in their 40s and 50s who have recently gone through a major life transition and are looking to reclaim their identity, then things are looking a lot brighter.

You’ll know exactly where to find them and what you can offer them that will be of value. And you’ll attract those first 5 clients in no time.

So, start with discovering who your dream client really is.

Create a Dream Client Profile and get crystal clear on who you serve best.

Talk with your dream clients and get to know them better.

Go and hang out where your dream clients hang out and start to create meaningful relationships.

And remember, while it’s all very sweet of you to want to help anyone and everyone, it’s impossible to reach anyone and everyone. Focus on your dream client and you’ll create a more meaningful connection, deliver more value and have a greater impact.

2. Create Irresistible Offers

Now that you know who you do your best work with, you’re ready to create your Tarot reading offer.

Instead of being just like every other Tarot reader out there with a 30-minute or 3-card Tarot reading, why not create something specific to your dream client?

If she’s a woman in her 40s and dealing with a major life transition like a divorce, then create the “Healing from Divorce” Tarot reading or package.

It may be a special Tarot spread that you’ve created specifically for your dream client.

Or it might be a full package that includes 3 Tarot readings (1 for each stage of the journey), an affirmation poster, a healing meditation and an eBook with the 10 Best Ways to Heal After a Divorce.

Much more appealing than just a 30-minute Tarot reading, right?

The key is to focus on what creates value for your dream client. Think about the change or transformation you will inspire through your Tarot services. And think about the results or the outcome.

Then, price the reading or the package based on that value, not on the time it will take you to do it.

So, if you can help a woman heal from divorce and reclaim her identity, what dollar value would your dream client place on that? That’s your price for your irresistible offer.

When you create specific offers for your dream clients at a price that truly reflects the value of that offer, then your offers will be totally irresistible!

3. Give Authentically

 

You know who you want to reach and what you want to offer them. Now it’s time to connect authentically with your dream client so that they begin to know, like, and trust you.

It’s a very simple formula:

Give. Give. Give. Give.

And give some more.

Give highly valuable content to your dream client, such as your very best tips and strategies to deal with their pressing issues.

Give your attention and focus by responding personally to emails, blog comments and messages on social media.

Give an insight into who you are and what you stand for on social platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Give away free eBooks, quizzes, checklists, and other helpful resources that are useful for your dream client.

Give and give and give.

And then, and only then, ask.

4. Ask with Confidence

 

When it comes time to ask, ask with confidence.

Ask if you can be of service and help your dream clients with their biggest issues and concerns.

Ask if your dream client is ready to transform their life and book a Tarot reading with you this week.

Ask your dream client to click on the link in your email and make a payment.

And do it with confidence.

Be confident in the value you offer and the result you can help create as you support your dream client step into the best version of themselves.

This isn’t the time to be shy or worried by your money blocks.

It’s time to show up and be of service.

Because that’s what you’re here to do. That’s why you have this gift. Now do it!

5. Hustle!

 

“Build it and they will come!” – right?!

Wrong.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it’s total BS.

You have to hustle. And hustle hard.

You can’t just sit and wait for your first 5 clients to come bursting through your door (or your Inbox).

You have to get out there and work it, baby.

As soon as you know who your dream client is, go to where they hang out. Let’s say your dream client is women in their 40s and 50s going through divorce…

Then go to a meetup for newly divorced women. Or jump into the 100s of Facebook Groups for divorcees. Or ask your friends if they can connect you with anyone who’s recently gone through a divorce.

Then, be useful and give authentically.

Respond to questions with your best strategies and advice.

Offer to have a 1:1 Skype chat to help figure out the next step.

Ask questions to understand your dream client even more.

And once you have established some meaningful relationships, ask how you can be of service.

It doesn’t all just land in your lap. It takes effort, persistence and dedication.

But know this – you are a light shining in this world. It’s time to share your light with others and get yourself out there in a BIG way.

    dear Bridget, although at the moment I am in the middle of a rather busy time, I have been reading your emails and found them to be so helpful. I have done the Tarot many years ago, I find your outlooks makes things clearer and gives me more confidence. I will want to purchase your book of Tarot card meanings.
