Now, before we get into it, I want to say a big thank-you to everybody who has sent in a review and shared their feedback and comments. I am so grateful and I know that there are so many other podcasts that you could listen to and I am so honoured that you’ve chosen to listen to the Biddy Tarot Podcast.

So, I wanted to just share a couple of the beautiful reviews that have been left on iTunes as my way of saying thank you.

This comes from someone called Gunsblazen. I’m assuming that’s not their first name but they’re from the US and they write:

“Brigit Esselmont is THE authority on Tarot. She is authentic, professional, and well-spoken. There is a reason she is considered THE go-to expert in the field. If you are into Tarot, you have found your podcast! Incredibly informative and entertaining!”

Oh, that’s lovely. Thank you so much!

The Merrymaker Sisters from Australia who are absolutely adorable, they have left the following feedback:

“Absolutely amazing podcast! With clear and inspiring messages to use tarot. I’m excited to work on it and keep listening to Brigit.”

Thank you so much!

And, finally, this one comes from Captain Malina from France, and she says – I’m hoping it’s a she! – she says:

“Very insightful; precisely structured; extremely clear, nothing stays vague, everything questioned in a very practical and honest manner; and lovely voice! Thank you for the good work.”

That is so lovely. Thank you again!

I know I said last one but here’s one more.

Nice and simple from The Journey of the Soul Astrology from the US. They write:

“This is the best Tarot podcast that I have found on iTunes.”

Wow! That is such awesome feedback. I am so grateful and I really wanted to share those pieces of feedback just to say a big thanks.

With that said, let’s get into the podcast for today!

As I said earlier, in today’s podcast I’m going to walk you through the seven practical ways that you can use Tarot to find your soul make and find a relationship that is a perfect fit for you and that is healthy for you.

Let’s get straight into it.

Understand What You Really Want in a Relationship

The first way that we can get into using the Tarot cards to find your soul mate is to understand what you really want in a relationship.

When we are really clear in our own minds about what we truly want, it is much easier to manifest it.

It’s the same in relationships; when you know exactly what you’re looking for in a relationship and a perfect partner, then you can take action to manifest your desires.

On the flip side, if you’re not sure, it’s very hard to actually make things happen.

Having a clear picture of what it is you want to create in your romantic relationships will help you get there.

Using the Tarot cards, you can tap into your inner wisdom to understand what you truly want in a relationship. You can do this by asking the Tarot, “What do I truly seek in a relationship?”

Whilst I am happily married with a beautiful family, I am going to do a couple of cards as an example, just to show you how these different techniques might work.

Let’s say, maybe in a different lifetime, I’m single and I’m looking for love. You might hear my cards shuffling there. Let’s see.

I’m going ask the Tarot, “What do I truly seek in a relationship?”

In this case, Eight of Pentacles.

The Eight of Pentacles might be a sign that I am focused on the details of a relationship but I am also focused on working relationships – one that works in the day-to-day.

If I think of my current relationship – my marriage – that is certainly important to me. I think being able to work well together on a day-to-day basis is very important to me. Whilst it’s not all romantic – and you might be expecting more of a romantic card here – it’s just a very practical card with the Eight of Pentacles to say that what I truly want is a partner who I can work well with and just get those day-to-day things done. Having kids, that is so important also that you’re working together and supporting each other on that day-to-day level.

I would encourage you to also draw a Tarot card for, “What do I truly seek in a relationship?” and think about what new insights have you received and how can you start to manifest some of these aspirations.

Let’s step into the second way of using Tarot to find a soul mate.

Discover Who Would Make a Perfect Partner

This is about discovering who would make a perfect partner.

Just as it helps to know what kind of relationship you’re looking for, it also helps to know who would make an ideal partner for you.

Nice and easy, draw one Tarot card to discover who would make a perfect partner.

Just a couple of tips:

  • If you draw a Court Card for this question, you will learn more about who they are as a person, including perhaps their age, maturity level, and their personality. For example, the Knight of Wands is likely to represent someone who is young (or young at heart), spontaneous, fun and, well, full of sexual energy!
  • Perhaps maybe you draw the Queen of Cups and more about sort of a nurturing, compassionate, kind-hearted person that would make a perfect partner for you.
  • If you drew a Major Arcana card, you might learn more about what stage of life they are in and what lessons they are learning. It would be interesting to see how that might match into your stage of life and the lessons that you’re learning and perhaps what can they teach you as a partner. For example, the Death card could highlight someone who is going through a major change in their life – maybe a divorce or even the death of a loved one – and they are more open to new beginnings and new relationships. Or perhaps the Hermit card may indicate that you are looking for a partner who is traveling a spiritual path.

Let’s go back to my hypothetical lifetime where I am single and I am trying to find out who would make a perfect partner for me.

I drew the Three of Cups.

I use the Radiant Rider-Waite deck. In this card, I’m seeing three women holding their cups up high, just enjoying each other and having fun.

For me, the perfect partner would be somebody who could just let their hair down, have a lot of fun, who is quite joyous and happy in their life, and quite creative given that this is the Three which is a creation kind of card and the cups given that is also quite creative as well.

Contrast that back with the Eight of Pentacles. We need a relationship where we are focused on getting the day-to-day stuff done and working together as a team but, on a more personal level, someone who can also have a lot of fun – not get too stuck in the details.

I’d love for you to draw your card and see what comes up for you!

Learn When You Will Find Love

Let’s step into the third way you can use Tarot for finding your soul mate.

This is about learning about when you will find love.

A lot of people want to know exactly when they will find love but, personally, I steer away from providing specific times using the Tarot. Why? Because I believe that we each have our own free will and this can alter when something will occur.

For example, if I told you that you would find your romantic partner in September, it might actually stop you from going out and meeting people which, in turn, would prevent that outcome from occurring.

I think it is a lot more helpful to understand what might need to happen in order to find love or what actions you can take.

If you are keen to know when you will find your soul mate, you can ask the Tarot the following questions:

  1. What needs to happen before I will find love?
  2. What signs will I see when I have found the right partner?

If you want to find love sooner rather than later, then take action on the first card.

If you draw a Minor Arcana card, it is usually an easier path because you are dealing with day-to-day issues. If you draw a Major Arcana card, then you may first need to learn an important spiritual lesson before finding love – which can be a longer journey.

Also, if you’re getting a reversed card for what needs to happen before I will find love, then it’s usually a sign of inner work that needs to occur.

Now, I know that is often frustrating news for people who are like, “I just want to find my loving partner! I’ve been working on myself for years, come on!” But, sometimes, it is a sign that we just have to keep working on that inner work first before we get into being able to share that with others because, if we are in a place that is not quite who we really are, then we may start attracting people that are not the right fit for us instead of matching in at a level that is not our higher self.

With a bit more patience, you can keep working on aligning back to your higher self and then, once you are in that place of alignment, you will start to attract the people who are best for that higher self. I hope that makes sense!

I am going to draw two cards for my hypothetical single life.

“When will I find love?” and I am asking, “What needs to happen before I find love?”

I’ve got the Seven of Pentacles reversed.

“What signs will I see when I have found the right partner?”

The King of Cups reversed.

As I said earlier, with two reversed cards, it might be a sign more about what is going on inside of me rather than how I am interacting and engaging with other people. I often see reversed cards as internalized energy whereas upright cards are externalized energy and the way that we are expressing ourselves to others.

“What needs to happen before I find love?” Seven of Pentacles reversed.

In some ways, this is about having patience – of doing the inner work and being patient and allowing things to unfold as they need to. However, my gut feeling with this is that there will be a time when I just suddenly get really frustrated with having to do all this inner work and I will probably become more active in trying to find love. It is actually a self-serving process. It is important to sit with that inner work but it is also important to feel those feelings of frustration to then compel me to take action around my love life in his hypothetical situation.

The second question is: “What signs will I see if I have found the right partner?”

I have got King of Cups reversed. The King of Cups is typically about feeling really emotionally secure and grounded. With this being a reversed card, it is about feeling emotionally secure and grounded within – within myself.

When I am feeling really good about who I am emotionally, then I know that the right partner is just around the corner.

I would love for you to draw your two cards to see, “What needs to happen before I will find love?” and “What signs will I see when I have found the right partner?”

Work Out How to Find Your Soul Mate

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just sit in a lounge and wait for Prince Charming to come along? But we all know that that is not quite true. Instead, you are going to need to put yourself out there and take action to find your soul mate.

Turn to the Tarot cards and ask, “What do I need to do to find the right relationship?”

Let’s see. Four of Pentacles! Interesting.

Well, sometimes, I read cards more in line with the traditional meanings but, other times, I read them more intuitively and I am looking for what really stands out.

The thing that stands out for me a lot with the Four of Pentacles is the city that is behind the man in this card. It may be an indication of needing to go to events in the city, spending more time in the city, being more engaged in city life in some way. I also liken this to New York. I have got no idea why, I always think of New York.

I would take any excuse to go to New York. In my hypothetical single life, maybe this is a sign that I need to fly to New York to find my partner? Who knows?

I would love for you to also draw your card.

What do I need to do to find the right relationship?

Now, a couple of tips:

Look out for Tarot cards that may indicate how to go about finding a new relationship such a maybe a dating agency in which case you might be looking for Three of Pentacles or the Hierophant; you might be drawing on friends and family connections and seeing the Three of Cups or the Ten of Pentacles; internet dating could be represented by the Three of Wands; speed dating by the Page of Swords; or simply waiting for the right guy or girl to come along which could be the Wheel of Fortune.

Also, you want to look out for Tarot cards that tell you where to find a relationship. For example, the Four of Wands might indicate a wedding or a celebration. Or the Three of Cups might suggest meeting someone in a bar. Like with the Four of Pentacles, that might suggest meeting someone in the city or by doing activities within the city.

So, There you go! Let’s move on to the fifth way of using the Tarot for finding your soul mate.

Go On Successful Dates

Before going on a date – and, hopefully, you have found your hot date already or you are certainly on the way to finding people that you could potentially connect with – before you go on that date, consult your Tarot cards to understand how you can prepare, what you need to emphasize or avoid, and how to present yourself.

For example, if you draw the Empress or the Nine of Pentacles, then you might want to pay special attention to your physical appearance.  Or, if you draw the High Priestess, then you might want to keep something to yourself and maintain an air of mystery.

You might even want to draw a Tarot card to find out how the date will go and how you can make the most of your time together.

Let’s pretend I have got a hot date tonight and I want to find out, “What do I need to know about this hot date?”

Let’s see. Queen of Wands – that’s a good sign that I need to be assertive self-assured, confident, chatty, warm, inviting, and open. I know something about what to emphasize.

Let’s see what else might come up. Queen of Cups – another really nice balancing card. Whilst I am being warm and inviting, I need to also be kind and compassionate and nurturing.

If I were to draw on these two cards, this is about which parts of my personality do I need to really open up and emphasize when I’m going on this hot date?

Maybe I want to see, “What is the outcome of this hot date? Are we a match?”

Let’s see, Ace of Pentacles. Well, I would say that is a very good sign that something could manifest out of this hot date and the opportunity is there. That is the thing with aces – the opportunity is there. It is now up to you to take that opportunity and move forward with it. It is not a promise of things to happen exactly but it is an open door.

Decide Between Possible Partners

Maybe you are lucky and you have got a few relationship possibilities in the pipeline. Well, the Tarot cards are perfect for understanding the pros and cons of each opportunity and helping you make a decision.

You simply need to draw three cards for each prospective partner. You draw a card for the pros, one for the cons, and one for the outcome, and draw a final card to understand what you need to know to make the right decision.

Let’s see. Maybe in my hypothetical single life I am choosing between John and Adam.

I am going to draw the cards for John. Let’s see. They are all reversed.

For the pros, I have got King of Wands reversed. For the cons, I have got death reversed. For the outcome, I have got Page of Wands reversed.

Overall, this does not seem too crash hot. It might not be the real relationship that I am looking for. I might even just sideline poor ol’ John.

Let’s see what happens with Adam. It might be back to the drawing board in terms of dating here!

The pros, I’ve got the Five of Swords reversed; well, that could be a sign that we can get through conflict and disagreements okay so long as we say “sorry” and don’t grasp onto our ego. The cons, the Tower; well, there might be something pretty significant come up that unfortunately means that we have to split. The outcome is the Page of Swords reversed which, generally speaking, is not such a great sign for starting a new relationship.

If I were to get these cards, I would probably be going back to the dating sites and seeing what new people I might be able to find.

Of course, never let the Tarot decide exactly what you are going to do – that decision is ultimately yours.

If you were dating John and Adam, and they were really lovely men and you felt a really nice connection, it does not mean that you should stop everything just because Tarot cards said so. It may simply be almost like a forewarning and, therefore, an opportunity for you to change things around.

For example, we had the con of the Tower and something pretty significant. Well, I guess with the Tower, that is a little bit harder to control but maybe, if we were to focus our energies on what is working well with the Five of Swords reversed, we could figure out ways of being able to apologize or get through conflict easily and effortlessly, and that may actually help support the relationship and take it to a new level that is not represented in these Tarot cards.

Use the cards even if they are not the most appealing message. Use them to go, “Right, okay, here are some potential issues. What can I do to overcome these issues and make this relationship really strong?” If you’re looking at those cards and thinking, “Oh, but I really like John and I really like Adam and I really want to make it work.”

Let’s step into our final way that you can use the Tarot cards to find your soul mate.

Create a Weekly Love Forecast

Quite simply, create a weekly love forecast.

If you like to use your Tarot cards for future guidance or prediction, then you can draw one card for each week or month ahead. These cards are going to give you some guidance about what you can expect in your love life.

Even if you don’t get the Ace of Cups straight away, identify what you need to watch out for or what you need to focus on for each week or month. Use this as a tool for empowerment as well as prediction.

Let’s say I will do it on a month-by-month basis I’m happy to let things slowly boil over. Let’s see if I go March, April, May.

In March, I have got the Eight of Wands. Well, Tarot has a funny way of connecting, doesn’t it? Because, actually, for me, personally, in real life and not in a hypothetical life, I am doing a lot of air travel in March so there you go. But, if I am back into my hypothetical single person, then the Eight of Wands might suggest that things move along very quickly and maybe there are quite a few potential suitors – maybe lots of dates and lots of things happening around my love life.

The Queen of Swords reversed in April, perhaps I am finding it hard to make a decision about who to pursue and connect with.

And then, my May with the Six of Cups, maybe there’s a reconnection with somebody I knew previously whether it’s from a few months ago or a few years ago. I would say that Six of Cups is a really nice sign of something new emerging in terms of relationships.

So, there you have it! You have got seven ways that you can now use the Tarot to help you find your soul mate.

Remember, it’s not the Tarot doing all the work for you or telling you what is going to happen. It’s about the Tarot empowering you to create the kinds of outcomes you most desire.

If you’re looking for love, then try one or all of these seven techniques to manifest your ideal relationship. Or if you’re happily married or in a relationship, then you can start using these techniques with your family, friends, and clients to also help them find love.
