We spend a lot of the time at the start of a new year creating our goals and our new year resolutions. But how much time do we spend reflecting on the year passed – the path we've travelled, the lessons we've learned, the successes we've achieved?
In this video blog post, I reflect on the journey of Biddy Tarot over the past twelve months, to truly honour the evolution of this business – this community – throughout 2016. As part of our community, I hope you can celebrate this journey with me and let it inspire you to reflect on your own journey throughout this year.

2016 Year in Review
Hi there, it’s Brigit, founder of Biddy Tarot, the online learning community for people who love to read Tarot and live an inspired and intuitive life.
We are coming up to the end of 2016 and something I love to do at the end of the year is to stop for a moment and reflect on what has happened over the year.
I go away for a three-day planning retreat every six months and I’ve just come back from my recent one. I had a great couple of hours thinking about how far Biddy Tarot has come over these last 12 months.
Sometimes when you’re in the day-to-day you’re just getting stuff done, it’s incredible to look back and think, “Wow, imagine where we were 12 months ago and where we are now. It’s completely different.”
I wanted to share my year in review with you today, because it’s one way of saying thank you to you for being a part of this journey.
I’m just so proud of what Biddy Tarot has created and I’m so honoured to be part of your journey in whatever way. I really want to use this time to acknowledge that journey and to say thank you to you for being a part of it.
2016: The Re-Birth of Biddy Tarot
2016 – oh my goodness. I think of all of the things that we’ve done and it’s just crazy.
The core essence of 2016 was the rebirth of Biddy Tarot.
Re-Branding: Back in January, we were working on creating a whole new visual identity. We got a whole new color palette, logo and general look and feel.
New Website: Then that started to morph into the new Biddy Tarot website, which we launched in June. I can’t tell you what a change that created for myself and for the people that we were connecting with. It was a very long process and there was a lot of learning on that journey, but to see the new Biddy website up and running just made my heart sing.
When I was looking at the old website, everyone would say still, “Oh, it’s pretty good.” But I thought it was so out of alignment with who I really am and what I see for the Biddy Tarot Community.
Then, when the new website went live, I thought, “Yes, we are finally in alignment. This is what I want to represent through Biddy Tarot.” I am so proud of where we came from in terms of our Biddy Tarot website and the new look and feel.
Biddy Tarot Community: Also in terms of the rebirth, we launched the new Biddy Tarot Community and a whole new website with that as well. The start of that launch was in April and then we opened up to the general public in May.
As of November 2016, we had close to 800 members inside of the Biddy Tarot Community. I’ve connected with many of them and I’ve got to tell you, it’s such a beautiful, beautiful space.
If you are one of our Biddy Tarot Community members, my heart goes out to you. You’re creating such a special place where people feel supported. I can share what I know about Tarot and just start to inspire new ideas. I’m really proud of what we’ve created inside of the Community and what our members are creating there.
Product Re-Brand: We’ve also been working so hard in the background with rebranding all of our products. Who would have thought? I thought, “Let’s just get a new website,” but actually when you redo your brand, you redo everything!
I am literally just coming off the back of re-shooting our Read the Tarot with Confidence program. I’ve redone all of our video lessons. I did same with the Master the Tarot Card Meanings program and we’re about to re-do the Grow Your Tarot Business Online program.
At the same time, we’ve redone our e-books and free giveaways, and we’ve also created the new Programs.BiddyTarot.com website, where you get access to all of our online courses.
So many things! Who would have thought how much work goes on behind the scenes when you create a new brand?
Biddy Tarot Podcast: In 2016, we created new ways of connecting with our community. Back in January, I launched the Biddy Tarot podcast. Since then we’ve had over 200,000 downloads!
I tell you it just makes my heart sing when someone says to me, “Oh Brigit, I’ve been listening to you all the time. As soon as that new podcast comes out, ear buds in and I’m listening straight away.” It’s so nice to be able to inspire so many different people to embody the Tarot and integrate it into their everyday life.
Biddy Tarot Certification Program: We also launched the certification program in October, attracting 115 students who are ready to become certified Biddy Tarot readers. They are now going through the process of Mastering the Tarot Card Meanings, and then soon will start the Read Tarot with Confidence program. Then they’ll get lots and lots of practice with free Tarot readings, community support, and then certification. In six months’ time they come out as really confident and highly ethical Tarot readers.
I’m so proud of what we’ve created there with our certification program. I can’t wait to see the calibre of students after we complete that program.

Strengthening the Business: 2016 was also about strengthening our business. I know you don’t get to see much of this. This is a lot of what happens on the back-end and what it takes to run a business like Biddy Tarot.
Back in January or February, we started our help desk. We got onto Zendesk. Now I have a team who can respond quickly and easily to customer and visitor questions.
That’s been a game changer! It’s freed me up to do more of the creation and the teaching work and then my team can help you much quicker and they know a lot more stuff than I do about fixing passwords and all that kind of stuff.
We’ve also welcomed new team members.

- Reuben, our official web guru/geek
- Victor, our web developer
- Leigh, our customer happiness assistant.
We are now 12 people around the world all working for Biddy Tarot and being here to serve you as a member of this community.
Something that’s been really meaningful for me is that our team has taken on even more autonomy and I can trust them to just run with stuff and do an awesome job. This is the dream team and I’m incredibly grateful for it.
Expanding Our Reach: Finally, we have expanded our reach in really amazing and big ways. Again, this is so much thanks to you for being part of our community.
We now have 3.5 million visitors to the BiddyTarot.com website over an annual period. Compared to twelve months ago, that is a 40% growth. Twelve months ago it was around 2.5 million and now we’re at 3.5 million. It blows my mind.
We now have 55,000 subscribers to our newsletter and email list. That is amazing! We’re reaching that many people every single week with our newsletter and the card of the week.
We’ve also had some really great partnerships. I was honoured to teach with Gala Darling in her Radical Self-Love coven and a couple of other really awesome teachers like the AstroTwins and Tania Gabrielle.
Being featured in Huffington Post was awesome. Big thanks to Molly, who is now part of our team, for creating that opportunity. I also connected with the ladies at Being Boss. I just did webinar with them about business and intuition.
Coming in 2017: You might be wondering, “Okay, awesome, that was 2016, what is coming up for Biddy in 2017?”
I do like to free flow things. I’m kind of getting between structure and free flow, so I do have a feeling of what is coming, but then I also leave space for what might emerge. Here’s a little bit about what you could expect in 2017.
I will be in the U.S. in March. I will be speaking at the Northwest Tarot Symposium in early March, talking about the five ways to attract your dream clients as a Tarot reader. You can also attend that conference and hear some amazing Tarot speakers.
I’ll be running a workshop in Portland and then a retreat down in San Diego. It’s going to be absolutely amazing.
I hope that if you’re in the area that you can come and join me. We’ll send out more information soon.
We will also be relaunching our programs now that we’ve rebranded and added new content to them as well.
The certification program will be launching again later in 2017.
In my heart I feel like there’s a lot more coming around workshops and retreats. I don’t yet know exactly what form that will take, but I can feel it coming through.
I will be helping more and more people to connect to their divine will and their passion, particularly by leveraging my skills in Tarot and spirituality, but also in business. I feel like I have a lot to offer in terms of how to set up a business and I really want to be supporting people like you who have amazing gifts and I want you to be able to share those with the world.
That’s 2017. I’m sure there will be more, but that’s just a start.
