Yearly Forecast Tarot Reading
The Yearly Forecast Tarot Reading is great for the New Year or a birthday. One card is drawn for each month over a 12 month period. You can select which month you would like to begin your reading from. In addition to the twelve cards drawn, a thirteenth card is drawn to provide overall insight into the twelve months ahead.
The Yearly Forecast Tarot Reading is $49.
A ‘Real Life’ Example of the Yearly Forecast Tarot Reading
Jason came to me at the start of the year, asking for a view of the next twelve months. Here’s how the reading evolved…
Dear Jason,
Thank-you for visiting biddytarot.com and requesting a Tarot reading. It is a pleasure to be able to read for you!
You have requested a Yearly Forecast Tarot reading. I concentrated carefully on your question while shuffling the Tarot cards for you. I then laid the cards out and this is what they told me.

- January – Judgement
- February – Nine of Cups reversed
- March – King of Cups reversed
- April – Star reversed
- May – Ten of Pentacles reversed
- June – Three of Swords
- July – Eight of Wands
- August – Tower reversed
- September – Four of Swords reversed
- October – Queen of Swords
- November – Fool reversed
- December – Hierophant reversed
- Overall – World reversed
Overall, Jason, I feel that the next twelve months may be a little ‘hit and miss’. The large number of reversals in this spread reflect some level of confusion about where your best opportunities lie, and also a feeling that something isn’t right. You know when you get that sense that you’re not really being yourself? As if something is a bit skewy? When you do start to feel this way, the advice of the reversed cards is to reflect back at your past and understand what important life lesson you may have missed. Learn from your mistakes and then apply those learnings to your present. This will help to get you back on track and feeling a bit more ‘whole’ again.
So, in January, I suspect you are going to go through quite a bit of soul searching, reflecting on the past year of your life and working out what you make of it all. Was it a good year? Was it a bad year? Did you do everything you wanted to? What does it say about who you are now? Where do you want to head in 2012? There is a process of self-evaluation and judgement going on and you are trying to work out what is working and not working in your life. While most of the energy of this card is positive and suggests a true awakening, you do need to be careful that you are not too harsh on yourself when judging your past. The Judgement brings positivity because it represents an awakening or an ‘aha moment’ when your life path becomes clear. However, the thing that concerns me is that the next few cards are reversed and seem to suggest that this process of judgement may be demotivating instead of motivating.
In February, the reversed Nine of Cups reflects a deep feeling of dissatisfaction with life, a feeling of emptiness and a concern that you are not fulfilling your dreams. You wrote last time that you have battled with depression, and I have to be really honest and say that in February it may rear its ugly head again. You may be looking at your life and wondering if you are really making the most of it and whether you are truly happy with what you have created so far.
I just want to pause and let you know that although a number of these cards are reversed and may have less than favourable messages, treat this reading as an indication of where things are heading if you do not make changes. So, forewarned is forearmed and if you would prefer a different outcome, then work with these cards to change your path. See this as an opportunity to identify where some of your challenges might be and then plan ahead to be prepared if these challenges arise. With a bit more preparation and foresight, you may be able to navigate these challenges better, reducing their negative impact.
Ok, back to it…
The King of Cups reversed is also a sign of potential depression and getting to a point where you feel like your emotions are completely out of control. This King, when reversed, can be very moody, down, depressed, unpredictable and a bit of a loose cannon. You may be at risk of losing good friends this month if you do not pay attention to managing your emotions more carefully. I get the feeling that you have some awesome friends who are incredibly supportive, but I’m worried that you may put them off-side if you spiral downwards and take it out on them. So, please, I know it might be a tough month in March, but remember that your friends are there to help you and support you so be careful you don’t take it out on them.
Also, you might like to consider medication for depression in order to gain more balance and control over your depression. Now, clearly I am not a health professional, so please see someone who is and get their opinion on how to best manage your emotional health.
In April, you may be losing faith and hope in yourself and doubting whether you can ever overcome life’s challenges. You might feel like giving up, questioning your value and what you have to offer. You may feel like everything is piling up against you and there is little hope of ever getting over it all. You may be waiting for a sign or a ‘calling’ to proceed further. You may need reassurance that you are still on the right path, particularly if you have been experiencing setbacks or challenges along the journey. When the Star appears reversed, return to the energy of the Tower, which advises you to see these setbacks as opportunities to change and grow. Know that even if you are feeling uncertain or fatalistic about whether you will ever achieve your goal, this is just a momentary setback and you will soon see that it was an important part of your journey forward. Oftentimes, the reversed Star is more about a test of faith than it is an indication of a negative outcome. Sometimes you need to go through an incredibly trying time in order to come to a point of personal transformation and awakening. You need to keep believing in the Universe and know that it will do what is best for all. This is a test of your faith and you will no doubt come out of this a stronger person.
So, you can start to see a pattern forming here… Self-judgement in January which ordinarily should be a positive experience but which has the potential to put you in a state of depression for the following few months. Clearly not what you want! To me, the clear point for preventative change is January when you do go through that soul searching moment. Do everything you can to make it an uplifting and motivating experience rather than an opportunity to criticise yourself. This might be what you need to avoid some of this depression that could potentially follow.
In May, your financial assets or job may be at risk. The Ten of Pentacles typically represents wealth, accumulation, the home and a well-established job. Reversed, these aspects are at risk and you may be questioning yourself in these areas. You might choose to leave a job that you have been at for a long time. You might lose a valuable source of income, which creates uncertainty and instability. You might experience some trouble within your family life, particularly through your father if he is still present. Just be aware that there is instability in your home, financial and career areas. It’s not the end of the world, but it does mean that things won’t feel as safe and secure as they usually do.
In June, you may go through a period of heartbreak, sorrow and grief. The Three of Swords reflects a temporary phase of loss, pain and hurt, often within your relationships with others. Someone may upset you or you may even lose a good friend or loved one. The thing I want to emphasise is that this pain is temporary. Even though it will feel awful at the time and as if you cannot go on, know that as time passes, so too will the hurt you feel.
The Eight of Wands in July confirms this and indicates that things will finally be moving in the right direction, and at a rapid pace! I love the Eight of Wands because it suggests that everything is progressing really quickly and there’s a lot of positive energy surrounding your ventures, activities and projects. Oftentimes, this card can indicate air travel, so you might be jetting off to a great new location for a holiday. I get the feeling that you will just want to get away from it all and you will be sick of being depressed and upset about things. Taking a holiday somewhere exotic or fun will be just what you need.
If you can apply these principles of getting away from it all, the reversed Tower in August suggests that you will avoid a situation spiralling out of control. So, the first half of the year looks to be quite challenging, but if you can put a stop to it in July by creating some movement and change in your life, you will see by August that you have avoided total chaos. You may begin to see the situation for what it is – a big mess! – and decide that you don’t want to be part of that drama anymore, pulling yourself away from it all and pursuing a new journey.
In September, you will be feeling very restless and will be bursting at the seams keeping yourself busy. You have certainly taken up the advice of the Eight of Wands earlier and now you are hurrying around trying to pack so much into your life. The one thing you do need to be careful about, though, is that you listen to your body and take rest breaks when you need it. There may be moments when you feel yourself getting tired or sick, so instead of rushing around still, take a day or two to catch your breath and give yourself a rest.
In October, you will be in the prime position to make some important decisions. The Queen of Swords is a sign that you need to be independent in thought and in judgement. You must use your unbiased intelligence in order to make a judgement of a particular situation, drawing upon every piece of information and fact that you have gathered along the way. Empathy or compassion towards others may distract you from the task at hand, so it is important that you think with your head and not with your heart at this particular time. Do not let emotion get in the way. Rather, use fact and logic to make your decisions. It is also possible that you may meet someone who represents these qualities. I get a good feeling from this card, so whether it is a part of yourself or someone else, I think it’s going to be a good energy for pushing you forward and getting your life back in order again.
In November, you might go a little overboard with your fun and spontaneous behaviour! So, what I love about the Fool is his carefree attitude and his willingness to try just about anything without worrying about the consequences. But when he is reversed, he is inclined to take things just a little too far and can end up in some pretty crappy situations. So, just be careful that you don’t do anything really dumb this month and that you don’t get too carried away with being free and relaxed about life. Watch out for partying a little too hard in particular as you might end up somewhere that you later regret.
In December, the reversed Hierophant sees you wanting to break the rules and be a little unconventional. This follows on from the Fool who just doesn’t give a care in the world what other people think of his actions, and so the reversed Hierophant is a sign that you just want to poo-poo the traditions and structures that are set around you and follow your own rules. You may go against what is expected of you, what is the norm or what is the standard behaviours within a particular group. Given the connection with a group mentality, I feel that you will actively go against what a particular group wants or expects you to do, and instead you will choose to go it alone. You rebel, you!
Ok, so overall, the World reversed reflects the sentiment I shared at the beginning of this reading in that I think you may find you struggle to be your whole self. Particularly in the first half of the year, I see you struggling with depression and finding what will make you feel good about who you are. You are seeking completion and closure in your life, but you may be challenged to find it. With the World, it is important that you acknowledge your achievements and your milestones, and celebrate when you do achieve something great. Don’t let life just pass you by – give yourself a pat on the back when you do something awesome or when something goes your way. The more you celebrate success, the more you will feel like you are achieving something and creating success in your life.
I hope this reading has helped you. If you have any questions or require clarification on any of the cards drawn here, please email me. I also value your feedback and would appreciate it if you can take 5-10 minutes to complete the feedback survey. By completing the survey, you will be rewarded 10 Biddy Tarot loyalty points.

Jason’s Feedback
Dear Brigit,
Thanks for the reading. You’re always insightful in your Tarot readings. They always seem to be specific and accurate to my life – I would recommend you to others!
Although it has ups and downs I think it’s a really interesting reading. Will try and make changes to stop the worst scenario from happening. But it’s very interesting anyway.
Wishing you a wonderful New Year!
Jason
