Thank-you for visiting biddytarot.com and requesting a Tarot reading. It is a pleasure to be able to read for you!

You have requested the Finding Love Tarot reading. You write that you are looking for a loving relationship that you know you deserve. I concentrated carefully on your question while shuffling the Tarot cards for you. I then laid the cards out and this is what they told me.

Overall, I can see that you just want to be able to put your skills to work and you want a straight-forward relationship that draws on your strengths and talents, rather than engaging in complex and complicated relationships that don’t make the best of your talents. The Magician is a very resourceful figure and he has all the tools he needs to be successful laid out in front him. This indicates that you, too, have everything you need to create a successful, loving relationship – you now want the opportunity to do just that and you feel you deserve that opportunity. What’s more, this is a very upfront, no frills type of card, indicating that you just want to get on with having a normal, healthy relationship and that you are sick of complicated, drawn-out relationships that just do no good to you.

It is really interesting to see the King of Wands here (as what has been holding you back from finding the right relationship) because typically this King has a very positive influence on others. He is representative of a mature male who is very charismatic, visionary and even empowering as he sets his own goals and he brings other people along on his journey to achieve those goals. The one feeling that I am getting though is that perhaps you have been giving your personal power to your partners and allowing them to direct your journey forward, rather than steering it yourself. Initially, the men you meet (sorry, I am making an assumption that you are looking for a hetero relationship) are intriguing because they carry so much good energy with them and they seem to know exactly where they’re heading and how they’re going to get there. You might get excited at the beginning, hoping to hop on their personal journey, only to realise that it is not really what you wanted in the first place. Perhaps you are just giving too much of your own hopes and dreams to your partners, and this is what is leading to unfulfilling relationships.

With the Strength card next, I see this as a sign that you need to build up strength and belief in yourself that your own personal journey is important. Believe in what you are on this planet to do, rather than necessarily riding the coat-tails of someone else. Know that you deserve the very best, and that that will only come from within. The Strength card represents inner strength and the power of the human spirit to overcome any obstacle. Strength is about knowing that you can endure life’s obstacles by drawing upon your inner strength and confidence. Tap into your stamina and persistence, and temper it with your underlying patience and inner calm. Focus on what you need to do, and go about it in a way that demonstrates great composure and maturity.

Ahh, another King! I get the feeling that you are searching for a relationship with someone who is more like the alpha male type – strong, sturdy, well-liked or well-known, authoritative and in control. This is true of both the King of Wands (i.e. what men you have been attracted to) and the King of Swords (i.e. your ideal type). However, the different with the King of Swords is that he is typically more intellectual and will draw upon logic and reasoning rather than inspiration and motivation compared to the King of Wands. The King of Swords personality type is intelligent, articulate, authoritative, powerful and objective. He is highly qualified and has a vast amount of knowledge and expertise related to his field. He draws upon fact and data to form his opinions, and then does not let up whatsoever in proving his point of view. He is not exactly an inspiring person but instead prefers to command people who follow him because they trust him and respect his knowledge. His decisions are nearly always the right ones because he sees the big picture and never lets his emotions bias his judgement. As a romantic partner, though, he may sometimes come across as dispassionate or even a little ‘cold’ as he does not relate to his emotional self very well. Nonetheless, this may be what you need at this point in time.

In terms of when, the reversed Wheel of Fortune suggests that you are going through a cycle of bad luck right now which must pass before things get better. You wrote that your most recent relationship came to a shocking end – I suspect this is part of the down cycle that you are experiencing with this card. Remember, though, that life is a continuous cycle of ups and downs so while this is a challenging time now, things can only get better. This card also serves as a reminder that even though it feels as if much is out of your control, there will still be something that you can do to improve your luck and improve your circumstances. This card is about karma, so make sure you put positive energy out there in order to receive it back.

To find the right relationship, you first need to free yourself from the imprisonment you have placed yourself into. The Eight of Swords shows a woman, bound and blindfolded, seemingly trapped between eight swords. However, if she were to remove the blindfold (i.e. limiting perspectives or negative thoughts), she would see that there was indeed a way out. I see this as a sign about how to break free from the cycle of bad relationships. You need to stop telling yourself that you will only ever find these negative relationships, and starting telling yourself that you are indeed very deserving of only the very best relationship. You may like to try positive affirmations for finding love. The important thing is that you can free yourself from this restrictive situation just by altering your thought patterns.

The Eight of Cups shows a man walking away from eight cups in the dead of night. This card reflects that you know when a relationship or a situation is no longer fulfilling and you know when to turn your back and walk away. This is your untapped strength, so it is clear that you know what to do, and now you just need to do it! You say you want to break the cycle – then do it! You have the inner strength and knowledge now to recognise when a relationship is not working, and even though it may seem like there are still some opportunities there (i.e. the cups in the card), you are a very good judge of when the relationship is just too far gone to be salvaged. So, draw on this knowledge and free yourself from the limiting cycle that you have found yourself in.
