Tarot Circle: Past Crush Returning

by Brigit on December 30, 2011

This week, Jenna from England has sent in her Celtic Cross reading for our Tarot Circle interpretation.

As with all Tarot Circle posts, I’ll provide my initial thoughts and then I’ll hand it over to you, the reader, to use the comments section to write what you see.

Remember there’s no right or wrong and you don’t have to be an experienced Tarot reader to comment.

The Question

Jenna writes, “When I was 18, I met a guy who wasn’t my type at first but I felt completely drawn to him in the end and I feel we are connected from a past life.”

“I dated him on and off and one day I decided not to answer his call because I felt pressured… He seemed annoyed and every time I passed him in our town he would do something for attention. This made me want him again and all I want is to apologise and to balance karma. He will not speak to me if i see him.”

Jenna also added that she is currently engaged to another man, but she is still thinking of her past crush.

Now, again, we don’t have a specific question, so I would ask something general such as, “What does Jenna need to know about her future relationship with her past crush?” This will help to focus the reading.

The Tarot Spread

Jenna used the Celtic Cross spread (which is a different variation of the Celtic Cross to what we’ve seen before) and drew the following cards:

0. Significator – Queen of Cups
1. Present influences – Empress
2. Crossing – Hanged Man reversed
3. What is helping or hindering – Hermit
4. The past, feelings, dreams etc . – Lovers
5. Crowning card, potential,goals, intentions – Magician
6. The immediate future – Knight of Cups
7. Your self, state of mind, secret wishes – Three of Pentacles
8. The environment, other people – Judgement
9. Hopes, fears and expectations – Two of Cups
10. Final outcome  – Justice

Jenna also adds, “I’m so stuck mainly with the Justice card as the outcome and the Hanged Man and Magician always confuses me.

“I also drew another two cards afterwards and I got the King of Swords and the Seven of Swords.  A few days after I got the Knight of Pentacles again as usual when I just draw one card.”

My Interpretation of Jenna’s Tarot Reading

With cards such as the Queen of Cups, Empress, Magician, Lovers and the Two of Cups, there is certainly a lot of energy on Jenna’s side to get the relationship heading in the direction of a future romance. She has felt that strong connection in the past (Lovers) and will do whatever she can to bring that feeling into her life again (Magician).

The trouble is that she is experiencing delays and obstacles that she feels are outside of her control (Hanged Man reversed). The relationship with her past crush is suspended in time and this is making her feel quite frustrated.

With the Judgement card in the position of external influences, I wonder if Jenna’s fiancee has caught wind of what might be happening? She may find that he gets a bit too close to the truth and this leads to some judgements that are made within that relationship.

In fact, going back to the Magician, the phrase, “Be careful for what you wish for” comes to mind. If she was to manifest her dreams about this past crush, what would it mean for her current relationship? If her dreams came true, what then?

At the end of the day, the Justice card suggests that justice will be served and there will be a karmic balance. So, in her question, Jenna mentioned she wanted to balance the karma with her past crush. The Justice cards confirms that this will be the case. But it also suggests that justice will be served in her current relationship. She may be playing with fire here, and if she does get found out, then she may have some other issues on her hands.

Remember those two extra cards Jenna drew? The King of Swords and the Seven of Swords? Well, I get the feeling her fiancee may find out the truth and may feel quite hurt and betrayed about it all. If this does happen, he may be quite cutting and harsh when it comes to the future of their relationship together. Perhaps, then, the Knight of Pentacles is about taking a more conservative approach and obeying the ‘rules’ of a committed relationship.

Summary

Overall, I can see that Jenna is pretty hopeful that she can be with her past crush and there are a lot of emotions invested in this relationship. However, while there may be an opportunity to reconnect or share a romantic moment (Knight of Cups), she needs to be very careful because she is currently involved with someone else. Justice will be served and I feel that she needs to be truthful in all that she does – truthful to herself, to her current partner and to her past crush.

Although Jenna is involved with another guy now, it is not fair to the current guy, if she is not being honest with herself and to this new fella about her feelings for the guy from the past. She obviously has “unfinished business” with the guy from the past, who obviously is holding a grudge with her. I feel that Jenna has the ability and power (Magician) to manifest communication with the guy from the past; and perhaps she should to quell these current obsessive thoughts with him. But as the final card comes out, the Justice, what will be will be, and it will be karma at it’s finest.

I think the Empress represents her current situation: engaged. The Hanged Man is the sacrifice she will have to make to pursue the old guy (i.e. her fiancee) The Hermit suggest she needs to think through what she really wants and what is really important to her; major soul searching is in order–it’s not just her life involved, it’s these two men. The Lovers in the past position makes me wonder if she’s looking at the old crush through rose colored glasses. She will have to decide if what she had in the past was better than what she has now. The Magician indicates to me that if she really wants this guy back, she can make it happen. She has the power and whatever she needs. The Knight of Cups can be either the old crush or any overtures she makes to him–maybe even her fiancee wanting to secure his position. 3 of P suggest wanting to rebuild what she had in the past. Judgement, people’s tongues may be wagging or the fiancee may suspect something. 2 of C is the wish for a new begining with old crush and Justice suggest it will all work out for her highest good–whether it’s what she wants or not.

I am not used to interpreting a Celtic Cross Reading with a significator, however, I will tr my best.

I’ll start off my reading by counting out the Major Arcana cards. There are 6 Major Arcana cards comprising your reading; one reason why you must be having this Tarot reading is because of a “heavy” conscious. The absence of any Wands cards indicates that your relationship with your previous crush is passive.

When adding all the numbered cards, the resulting number is the Number 6 which we both know is the Lovers card. This Major Arcana card indicates that you are inclined more to your previous crush and may be willing to decelop a new relationship with him.

The presence of the Empress card supports the Queen of Cups because she nurtures her passive and compassionate nature.

The Hanged Man is there to tell you that you’re suspended of your actions and immature of your emotions. The Hanged Man may be indicative of crossroads; that you’re not ready to develop a new relationship with your past crush.

The Hermit, as the helping of hindering card, indicates that you’re a grounded person. One reason why you are “stucked”, like the Hanged Man, is because you choose to be isolated from him; however, The Magician, in the Goals position, tells me this is about to change. You are willing to put aside your loneliness and frustations; you have the energy to face him eye to eye. (Perhaps, you already have, considering the attraction quickly blooming in the Two of Cups card). The Two of Cups card also reinforce the Lovers card although, this feeling may not be as strong and grounded compared with how you felt when you were 18 years old. When you were 18 years old, the fleeting feeling of seeing him everyday is heaven, as indicated by the Lovers card. Now that you have a husband, The Two of Cups advises you to remain close friends. The Knight of Cups can indicate your previus crush who may be willing to be more than just friends with you. Meanwhile, the presence of the Three of Pentacles tells me that you may have met him at work. This card also tells me that he’s getting to noticed you even if you’re already married. Furthermore, this card requires you to be patient as to how things will develop in the short-run. Judgment in the environment position tells me that your moment with him can be a moment of “awakening”. You must be very clear about what yo want in ife and not just jump into conclusions. Finally, Justice card supports the Judgment card. It is likely that you will choose the man to whom you are engaged with rather than your previous crush. The Justice card also tells you to be committed to your engagement with your current boyfriend. I would also like to add that the man you are engaged to has a very keen intellect. As the King of Swords, he’s not willing to let your emotions be swayed easily by a past crush. Meanwhile, the Seven of Swords indicates secrets; such unknown things will be know to him sooner or later. The Knight of Pentacles suggests you to be slow and steady with your fiancee and your engagement with him. Knowing of your duty to your heart and to your fiancee is a priority to create a successful and well-planned engagement. Good luck with your love life this coming year. :-)

When the Queen of Cups comes up in a reading it shows she is a very positive person, and she is a good person. The thing is, when she appears, it is easy to get carried away regarding love. Keep your balance and your perspective. Even with the excitement of your old love, it’s important to keep track of the other things happening in our lives.

I know that Jenna wants to make amends, but, it is dangerous, she never gotten over him. Seeing him at this time, will not solve anything, and it would make problems in her life. If she must tell him, write a letter, put everything in the letter, then destroy it. Jenna, you will get this off your chest, and not make problems for you and the man you are engage to.

I see the Lovers in the spread, and this card is saying that she is still in love with this man, she has to see what she wants, before getting married, if she still loves him, she will not be happy with the man she is going to marry.

I believe Jenna, needs to really sit and go over in her mind what she wants, if she needs to see him, see him, and wherever it leads to, she will know the truth, that is where Justice comes in.

I wish Jenna luck and may she choose the right man.

Many Blessings,

Rose Marie Bill

There is a tremendous amount of soul searching required (The Hermit). As Marcia said, is Jenna looking through rose-coloured glasses? At 18 years, things look and feel quite different. Is the past relationship a soul connection/true love, or is there a lure because of his rejection to communicate. The Three of Pentacles in the position of secret wishes reminds me of the saying “you can’t have your cake and eat it too.” Is Jenna secretly hoping she can have both relationships, or that the 3 can be friends? I don’t imagine her fiancée would be keen on this situation. Marriage does not succeed with doubts or regrets. Every time something is amiss, will Jenna wonder what it would have been like if she had chosen the other. There are serious consequences to actions (Justice). It is imperative that Jenna is honest in her quest.

I have noticed that the most cards you have are Major Arcana; meaning this situation is like an event in your life you will learn and soon accomplish if you put your mind into it. The most elements I see in this Celtric Spread are the Cups: emotions, imaginations, and sensitivity.

Now I will explain each card of what I have read and describe, and you choose what you believe.

Significator- Queen of Cups: this card tells me you are the Queen of Emotions! You have a strong sence of imagination because the Queen is extremely observing this beautiful Cup. You always want to make sure you are extremely satisfied with your life. Cups can hold liquid which can help you if you desire thirst. What is strange to me that this cup has no opening like the other regular cups. Maybe she wants to make sure her stored water is always contained and never spilled.

Present Influences- The Empress: You desire love and affection. You are the Mother figure who cares about the people you love.

Crossing- the (Reversed) Hanged Man: How are you doing with your spirituality? This card tells me you rather be logic rather than believing. As your statement, you may be thinking of having your old crush rather than your current. The Hanged man represents the right sacrifice for the better outcome; however, when in reversed position, it can represent making a rash decision of getting rid of something or someone and maybe later not completely satisfied by it.

Helping/Hinder- The Hermit: An another high-spiritual card that says, “find your inner light.” This wise man has experience almost everything in life. Most hermits felt they must be somewhere high above this world to receive a spiritual message from higher-above. Maybe by being in Biddy’s Tarot Cirle is a guiding light to your journey.

Past- the Lovers: This card means communication with others. The man represents your consciousness, what you have and want; looking straight at the woman. The woman represents your sub-consciousness, what you truly desire; as she is looking towards the angel Gabriel as if what would be the right thing to do. The angel represents your super-consciousness, believe in yourself and everything will be fine towards the man and woman. The ultimate triforce and decisions.

Crown- the Magician: This Magician has the infinity power to believe that his ideas can be materialized; the four elements. This is your Crown.

Future- the Knight of Cups: This knight is before the Queen. It represents that you may be over-whelmed by the power of the cups and you must examine what you have learned in knighthood that made you Queen. It can also mean you desire “a knight in shining armor.”

Self, mind, and wishes- the Three of Pentacles: Are you the artist that wanted to please the people of what you have created? You wish to create something into reality and people will observe what you have created. Or you wish for something to make that what you crafted with your own two hands that nobody else can do. An another trinity card.

Environment/People- Judgement: The Higher alarm clock that will awaken others around you.

Hopes & Fears- the Two of Cups: You may wish to share your feelings with your old crush. You may fear what will happen to your current spouse with his cup.

Outcome- Justice: This card is telling you must observe your decisions and choose who is worth keeping or eliminating. The wielding sword is her decision maker as her scales pin points the balances.

Overall you must be in the position of the Justice’s throne and observe your decisions before you decide who you need the most. Maybe think with your brain too rather than always depending on your heart. The reapeted swords you are taking after this Celtric Spread means it is you who must decide towards your complete satisfaction. Believe in yourself and others will believe in you too.

Hope this helps,
Best wishes to you!

The fact that six of the cards in this ten-card reading are Major Arcana suggests that Jenna does need to take her thoughts about the situation seriously. I am assuming—and I realize that I may be wrong about this—that Jenna selected her Significator card consciously, designating herself the “Queen of Cups” for this reading, thereby making the reading itself ten cards, not eleven.

My first challenges with this reading would be to inquire, how long ago was Jenna 18? How long ago did she have a relationship with this man, with whom she would now like to settle her karma? Is she 19 now? Is she 30 now? Is she 50 now? Depending on the answer to that question I might read this very differently.

I would also want to ask questions about how long she has been engaged to her current fiancé and would certainly want to know something about the status of that relationship.

Finally, I would want to hear a definite, clear question from J, rather than work with one that we are making up (this isn’t said as a criticism!).

In the absence of this information, I will make assumptions below and do some interpreting of the reading. I’d be the first person to say these could be wrong.

0. Significator – Queen of Cups
(I don’t do a Cross like this, so I am assuming J picked this to represent herself, and realize I may be wrong about that, but it’s my working assumption)

This implies that she views herself as having a level of emotional mastery in this situation. If J selected this card accurately, it would suggest that she actually knows, in her heart of hearts, exactly what she should do already and may not even need a reading about it.

If she was not accurate with herself in selecting this card as Significator, then it might imply an “aspiration” or even an illusion—in other words, that J would like to become (or is telling herself that she is) the Queen of Cups or emotional master of the situation. She may or may not be there now, however.

1. Present influences – Empress
2. Crossing – Hanged Man reversed
As this is not the way I do a Cross, I am again assuming that these two should be read together. I would see the Empress as a “present influence” meaning that J would like to settle down at this point, and that her subconscious is telling her that she’s wanting to do some real nesting. The Empress is also a very passionate and fulfilled woman, so I’m betting that J would like to be feeling this way, but that the Hanged Man Reversed is suggesting that she’s not able to claim these feelings because she’s having trouble letting go of the old relationship. Something needs to be settled or surrendered, before she can get into her Empress mode. So questions I might ask: What about the Empress card catches her eye right now, and how might that relate to the present? What Empress energy can she relate to? How would she describe the obstacles she’s feeling about accessing Empress energy? When she sees the Hanged Man image right side up, what catches her eye most about this visual, and how might that relate?

3. What is helping or hindering – Hermit
I think her Inner Teacher may have showed up here to tell her to slow down and get clear on some things, to shine a light on what it is that she truly wants. There is also a sense of a need to be temporarily solitary with this card. Clearly she still has some kind of feelings for the former boyfriend. But does that mean she needs to do anything externally to deal with them? I think if another card had showed up here, that might have suggested that yes, she should approach the former boyfriend and try to resolve things, but the Hermit makes me wonder if the resolution shouldn’t be an internal one, before she takes any external action—IF she even takes any external action. I think the Hermit is suggesting she spend some time by herself, without either man, and try to determine what her Inner Teacher is telling her about the former relationship. I’m not suggesting she break off her engagement—I’m only suggesting she might want to go for a long walk by herself! Or spend an afternoon in meditation, asking her Inner Teacher to speak to her.

4. The past, feelings, dreams etc . – Lovers
Showing up in the position of the past, I’m thinking this card makes clear that what’s past IS past. That she made her choice back then. That she did have dreams of being with the first boyfriend…and that boat has sailed. I think there is also a sense that the choice she made back then was blessed (by that angel in the card) and that she can be free to move on. If she feels there was a past life connection, as she says, I’d say this card suggests that is true, though it doesn’t imply that she needs to do anything about it now. She may, in fact, have begun to resolve the karma between them when she walked away from the relationship.

5. Crowning card, potential,goals, intentions – Magician
If we are to look at this card as potential goals or intentions, I can see that she would like to get the situation resolved, to make something happen. The classic options of the Magician are to Know, to Dare, to Will, or to Be Silent. Which will she choose? I would discuss with her which of those might be best here, and listen closely for her reasoning. I would remind her that the Magician’s job is to be a clear channel for Divine Will, not personal will. I think the Magician is also calling her to become as focused as possible on a higher purpose than her personal feelings. I do not know what that higher purpose is, but perhaps during the reading and in discussion she might begin to get a sense of it.

6. The immediate future – Knight of Cups
I would interpret this as a call to act with Love, whatever she chooses to do. I notice this Knight is not rushing. In fact, he is moving quite carefully as he balances a full Cup on the horse. There is a sense of stillness or slow motion. Whatever she does, both for herself and with the other two parties involved, it must be done with Love, and there is no rush. In fact, slowing down to go carefully looks like a good idea.

7. Your self, state of mind, secret wishes – Three of Pentacles
Once again I see care and discussion, thought and planning going on here. The active worker in this card is also “elevated,” by standing on a bench, which I would see as another echo of the need to take the high road in this situation and go slowly and carefully.

8. The environment, other people – Judgment
Jenna seems to be very attuned to what the former boyfriend is thinking, what judgments he may be making about her. And yet, that’s not what this card is portraying. Instead, I’m seeing freedom from former constraints. A wake-up call of some kind. I cannot tell her what the content of that wake-up call is, but in this card we see the visual echo of The Lovers card (which was in the position of the past)…might these Lovers be finally able to see their past relationship differently?

9. Hopes, fears and expectations – Two of Cups
Here is the hoped-for resolution, and the fear of that resolution, and the expectation that the situation can be peacefully resolved. I’d want to discuss the reality of those three possibilities in the light of her current feelings and current relationship (we know almost nothing about the current relationship, except that she is actually engaged—whatever that means to her).

10. Final outcome – Justice
I see the possibility of real resolution here, but not without first sitting down, being still, and weighing the options (like the figure in the card)…and trying to be as objective as possible about what is the best thing to do.
As you can tell, I’m not a predictive or directive tarot consultant. I’d much rather work with the client to help the client make her own decisions.

“I also drew another two cards afterwards and I got the King of Swords and the Seven of Swords. A few days after I got the Knight of Pentacles again as usual when I just draw one card.”

My only other comments are to resist asking the tarot the same question again and again and continuing to pull cards (if that is, in fact, what she’s doing—she doesn’t say exactly what her question was this time either. Is she asking the same question repeatedly?). I would hope that her questions for the above three cards would be something like, “What do I need to know from the tarot to further my thinking on this topic today?” rather than something like, “But should I or shouldn’t I try to speak with him and resolve this?” Certainly the King and Seven of Swords speak to facing the truth, and to not thinking obsessively about the issue.

Just my thoughts. I’d love to know what her actual question was for this reading, and what she decides to do in the end.

Forgot to add that the lack of wands and swords in the reading echoes, to me, a theme of pondering and exploring versus direct action at this point.

Firstly I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Biddy and Everyone who has read my dilemma, made comments and offered advice.
I love this site x

I have to say im so glad I know what the hanged man stands for now,it has been bugging me.It makes sense in saying that it is suspended and there are obstacles.

To Aasheesh Kumar – Thank you for your kind comment, I beleieve you are right about the justice card, i couldnt see at all what it may have meant until you said whatever is good for me will happen.

To Patricia Darrow – Thank you for your comment, I agree I am not being fair to my partner and I do feel guilty. I noticed how you used the word obsessive and I wondered which card you got that from but you are correct it has became an obsession. I have been considering hypnotherapy or past life regression to quell these thoughts of my past crush.

To Marcia – I really liked your comments thank you. (The rose coloured glasses comment really got me thinking) I guess I do have a tendency to remember all of the good times we had and think about his sensitive, gentle, piscean side of his personality instead of remembering his firey side and all of the bad things people have said, like the fact that he doesnt commit,he went to prison, violent background etc. Also thanks i didnt know 3 of pentacles meant wanting to re build things and Judgment a card I always get, dont really like that card but yeah now you have said it makes sense for it to mean people talking and my fiance I think definitly does suspect something.

Marianne Quintinio – Thank you for your comments.
I noticed how you said the hanged man may mean a cross roads and that I may not be ready to develop a new relationship, nobody has said that before and deep down I realise I am not ready for anything to develop with my crush even though i dream of it all the time. I love how you wrote about the magician card because that is exactly what seems to have happened a few months ago! I used to pretend not to see him whenever i was shopping or drinking in town and then one friday in june i was out having lunch with my friend. All week I had funny coinsidences as if they were signs telling me I was going to see him again after 2 years. (Anyway i dont want to bore you with my love life) but he looked at me turning away from the bar, whispering to his friend and did what he always did in the past, pretending to be doing something on his phone, I said to my friend thats him from 7 years ago! my friend strangely said they didnt know what i was talking about and so I shockingly looked at my crush in the eyes and bobbed my tongue out like a child,he looked shocked and then whispered something to his friend at the bar, when i was showing off my engagement ring to my friend to childishly make him jealous. :( In the end my crush didnt come over and speak to me like he would have done all those years ago,he just looked at me annoyed and walked outside to phone someone. Whenever we had a tiff he would just come back whether it was 2 weeks,6 months,3 years but not anymore.
As for the 3 of pentacles I actually met my fiance at work, which caused alot of trouble and nearly broke us. Also i have started a new job and my colleague happens to be friends with my crushes friends and lives near him which i thought was odd, and in my last job i ended up working next door to a man who was good friends with my crush,so i thought it was all fate. As for what you told me about the king of swords yes my fiance has picked up on things, its like he can read my mind, i think he may have read my diary from the past and i think the knight of pentacles now makes sense in that yes i will be slow and steady with my fiance as he too has a secretive side and i had at the time been wondering if he was cheating on me as he is a flirty, down to earth typical virgo male. x

To Rose Marie
Thank you for your comments and i think your idea of writing a letter, saying my feelings and then burning it is a fantastic idea.
As for the lovers card it makes sense now, that yes i will always wonder what would it have been like with my past crush even if im married. Thank you Rose x

To cheryl Thank you for your comment –
you got me thinking and I think its both, i feel a definite past life connection, not necessarily a good one all the time, sometimes i think maybe he was a test to see if I could keep away from him. two psychics have said to me that they feel i am going through this to learn a lesson to keep away from him, they said they got the feeling my crush could have been an abusive partner in my past life that i didnt escape.
Also when i was 18 I got the feeling like I was meant to not call him back as i got the feeling he would do it to me and break my heart, i didnt feel like he would be bothered or even remember me and so when he kept coming back and doing things for attention i felt different towards him and regretted ignoring his calls because he looked like he was bothered about me after all,i also feared i had stronger feelings for him than what he did for me, so im wondering if my card justice is saying that karma has been served now and that i did back to him what he did to me in a past life or im getting what i deserve for ignoring him. As for 3 of pentacles part of me was thinking maybe we could all be friends.

Johnny- Thank you for your comments.
The queen of cups and Empress i think definitly describe me, I always pick the queen especially in my you now position. I think it is because I am a virgo, moon in scorpio and Taurus all motherly caring signs i believe.
I liked what you wrote, especially about the knight of cups as ive always wanted a knight in shining armour and i used to think my past crush was my knight,my crush and I even talked about that :)
I like how you explained the justice card, ive always found it very confusing until now. Im going to take the card as telling me to balance my relationship with my fiance and stop fantasising about my past crush. Afterall it is my fiance who i have the potential to settle down with and have marriage,my crush wont even speak to me. Best wishes Thank you x

Meridiana – Thank you for your comments.
I would like to explain about my celtic cross reading to you as you have put alot of effort into giving me feedback.
So firstly when I did the significator card I fanned the cards out and then picked one which, i had a feeling was going to be the queen of cups as it always is. (I got this idea and spread from my book by anthony louis -tarot plain and simple its called)

From reading your comments i realise i should have said the last time we dated was when I was 18 and over the years he has done things to get my attention and strange coinsidences have happened. The past crush was 35 when we was dating.
My fiance and I have been together for one year and two months. He is older than me too he is 33 and im 25. The relationship lacks passion and romance. We are more like good friends, i think this is where the knight of pentacles and king of pentacles come in because we met at work, we both were in abusive relationships,my fiance had to get away from the woman he was living with for 10 years and I was with a man for two years,my fiance and i were comforting each other going through bad times and then we had a sort of affair and so i very quickly asked my fiance to move in with me and we was engaged within 6 months which my friend said was too fast and rediculous as we both had issues from previous relationsips.
Sometimes it feels like we are just together because as virgos we both need security. A home,a stable job, family, but the relationship is lacking the loving feelings from 2 of cups and lovers. I also feel under terrible pressure by my fiance to have children and to get married and i am not ready yet. (empress card meaning maybe)

My question for the spread was will my past crush return again to communicate with me?
sometimes i ask is there a future with the past crush?
does my past crush still think about me?

The main thing i guess i want to know is does the past crush have any feelings for me and will we speak again.

I think if i knew what my crush was like if hes changed,if hes the commitment type now hes older etc then it would be easier to make a descision, i guess that is why i want to know if we will speak again because if i see that he has changed that he does want commitment and that if he was to tell me that hes still interested in me then deep down i know i couldnt marry my fiance because i would always desire my past crush. BUT i think if im honest with myself after reading all of the cards and explanations i think im being the 7 of swords, even if me and my fiance get married me or him will cheat as i think we both know that the relationship isnt working as it should be. Im going to be the knight of cups,go slow, see what happens, maybe do abit of magician work -cosmic ordering and see if my fiance admits to me he isnt happy. I dont want to marry or have kids yet and i know this annoys him alot. He hasnt got anywhere to live so hes not in a rush either.

Id like to add as well that when me and my fiance started dating and cheating on our past horrible partners that the cards i had in a reading were the lovers and the page of cups – I really do see the page of cups meaning now = in my book it says the page represents light hearted and flirtatious encounter that we seek in our lives, the idea of such refined courtly love comes with a price. Once the ideals of the early days of romance have faded, once you see beyond the image of the perfect lover you have projected on to someone then the disillusionment can hurt.

My recent cards have been the fool, the hermit, the magician, the 9 of pentacles. ( I think im being told to become self sufficent, to go alone which is what i intend to do eventually)

Thanks again everyone, hope i havent been rambling on too much :) x
