Weekly Tarot Card (May 10) – Eight of Wands reversed

Eight of WandsThe card drawn for this week is the Eight of Wands reversed.

In the Rider-Waite deck, the Eight of Wands is a picture of eight crystal tipped and wire wrapped rods hurtling through space. The background is clear, indicating that there is little now that stands in your way.

Upright, the Eight of Wands denotes speed and rapid advancement of the situation in general. Reversed, however, we have a completely different story! The Eight of Wands reversed suggests delays and frustration. A situation is not moving as quickly as you want it to and it feels like everything is standing in the way of you being able to achieve your goals and objectives this week. You want things to move along, but there may be various external factors getting in the way.

You may also be acting with haste, but in doing so, making poor decisions. Slow down and look carefully at the situation at hand. Don’t cut corners – be methodical about your approach.

Traditionally, this card is associated with air travel. So, if you are travelling by plane this week, you might expect some delays in your travel.

Let’s hope this energy passes soon and we can get on with whatever we are trying to accomplish!
